Stupa Aung Chan Tha Zedi, Kalaw

Part VII

This is a picture of a small town with this Stupa.  I had hallucinated it because it is covered with mirrors like mosaics, they are so unusual. I say hallucinated, it glitters and seems to move constantly as you move. I don't know what other word to use apart from hallucination, because it was more than impressive, more astonishing,  and surprisingly different and those words don’t do it justice, ........ hallucinating, for me, is when you do not stop surprising yourself and you fall into a state of permanent wonder... I fully enjoyed its reflections, they moved and changed every second, it was an amazing visual game, I had to pinch myself. It depended on where the sun was. The next morning the sun was on the other side and visually it was another story. I could have spent a week just seeing the reflections and the changes that happened by the second, it was never the same.

My narration does not coincide with the timeline of my journey. I had already left the flat plateau of the Mandalay area, here, there were hills and it was green even though it was the dry season there, it was still green. Less harsh and it was the first thing that caught my attention at first, seeing the types of hills, pines, green, !!! WHAT A RELIEF   !!! and above all so similar to Vichuquen (A region in Chile) ... the reddish colour of the earth, pine trees and the type of hills, were all very similar,

On the walk, I saw many farmers doing their jobs, with tea being the majority of the plantations. It turns out that while I was walking I was learning to greet the locals in Burmese, I succeeded, but when we got to rest at a local's house for a tea, I proudly said what I learned ... !!! PLOP !!!! The guide told me that they speak another language ........ I gave up trying to learn............. in that small area, there are about 8 ethnic groups..

their houses ...... very diverse .......

While walking I heard the sound of Monks praying over loud speakers, it caused reverberations throughout the valleys I knew that they could last many days and nights without interruption and the whole valley echoes with the sound ..... but having listened to them, I heard another type of music, it was different, I did not know what it was about, as I have said many times the videos are not my thing, but the music that was heard needed to be taped, it was the only way to put it here, the video is short but I listened to this music for about 25 minutes while I walked, before reaching its source.

I ended up at the guide's house .. this is the beauty of travelling alone. The invitation was because they are curious about this old woman walking alone around those parts and from a totally unknown country ..... in the travel books these endings do not appear ... ..hahaha They offered me a strawberry juice ……………… ..My stomach clenched ... ..the water? ... ... with what water? ... ... !!! pufff !!! What would I give for a beer instead, after 7 hours of walking… ..Myanmar is a zero alcohol culture because of their religion …… there is no other choice than to enjoy whatever comes …… I put this photo in because it shows a typical house with the family, candles, meals, tables etc...
